A record-breaking supermoon, biggest since 1948 will brighten the night sky later this month, it has been learnt.
According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the November full moon is not only the closest full moon of 2016 but also the closest full moon since 1948 (which is still the last time the Cleveland Indians won the World Series).
According to EarthSky, the moon will look plenty full and bright all night on November 13 and 14 as it rises in the east around sunset, climbs highest around midnight and then sets in the west at or near sunrise.
This is one you might want to watch out for because the full moon won't come this close to Earth again until November 25, 2034.
Interestingly, supermoon would be visible to stargazers in Pakistan and India as well. For Pakistani citizens, the supermoon would unveil its beauty around 6:52pm while Indians can catch a glimpse of supermoon at 7:22pm
A supermoon occurs when the moon is slightly closer to Earth than it typically is, and the effect is most noticeable when it occurs around the same time as a full moon.
It can appear 14pc bigger and 30pc brighter than usual, according to Nasa.
